Mystic Seaport Museum
On oct. 18. 08, the community Exploration class went to Mystic Seaport Museum.
Mystic Seaport Museum is in Mystic and has ships and a seaport village.
It takes an hour and a half to drive there from UConn.
At the Mystic Seaport Museum, we saw many kinds of ships, the ship smith, whaling tools, the inside of ships, an 1800s seaport village, and the hand printing machine.
I'm interested in whaling ships. The ships at the seaport have a lot of whale killing tools and did kill whales. Also, we saw how to make tools and how the Ship smith used a hand stove. There is a Seaport village from the 1800s and I now know about the village.
We went to the gift shop and I saw many gift items. I wanted to buy them but didn't have enough money so I bought only a Music box.
In short, The Mystic Seaport Museum is a good place.
The score for this trip is 8 points
